- Esta cobertura muestra la distribución de las Reservas de Biósfera. Compuesta por 669 reservas de biosfera en 120 países, incluidos 16 sitios transfronterizos, la Red Mundial de Reservas de Biosfera (WNBR) del Programa Hombre y Biosfera (MAB) de la UNESCO consiste en una red dinámica e interactiva de sitios de excelencia. Trabaja para fomentar la integración armoniosa de las personas y la naturaleza para el desarrollo sostenible a través del diálogo participativo, el intercambio de conocimientos, la reducción de la pobreza, la mejora del bienestar humano, el respeto por los valores culturales y la mejora de la capacidad de la sociedad para hacer frente al cambio climático.
